Teen Summer Series Summary: Session #1

On July 7th, we hosted the first session of our summer financial literacy series. The guest speaker was Joshua D. Franklin who is a recent graduate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota and co-founder of JayField LLC, a business consulting agency providing startup business support young to entertainers and entrepreneurs.
We had 21 participants in the session. Joshua spoke about the different sources of income that are available to them. He spoke about how to be able to cover their expenses. Towards the end of the session, the participants were asked to share their business ideas and we told them how to get it started with minimum resources.
Special thanks to our co-sponsor, Integrity Builds Achievers. Their organization's founder, Mike Sherman, was a very active participant throughout the session.
The kids have their first challenge. The contest is to create something creative about what they during the session. All submissions are due no later than Saturday at 12pm. Send submissions to info@cryptojmeansbusiness.org. Winning submissions will be posted on our Facebook and IG accounts. Cash prizes will be given to top three submissions.
Next week's session will be about saving. The guest speaker will be Dr. Dominique Reese!
